Some Interesting Facts About Emraan Hashmi

1. Emraan was born to a Christian (Catholic) mother and a  Muslim father, and his loved ones call him Emmi.

2. After the 1947 Indo-Pak partition, his paternal grandfather, Shauqat Hashmi, migrated to Pakistan, but Meherbano Mohammad Ali (Purnima), his grandmother, who was an actress, stayed back in India.

3. He was interested in acting since his childhood.

4. He also prefers to keep his personal life hidden from the media and married his long-time beau Parveen.

5. Awarapan (2006) was an exception which had no kissing scenes, even though he is known for such scenes.

So he accused the society of doing “religious discrimination” against him as they refused a no-objection certificate (NOC) to purchase a flat in the society.

2. When Mahesh Bhatt and Emraan were invited at 'Koffee with Karan,' Karan Johar's show, he said that Aamir Khan is "boring," Aishwarya Rai is "plastic," and used the "overrated" adjective for Imran Khan.
