Getting something extra for the same amount always make us feel good and special. Be it extra chips in your packet or leg space in flight; more always makes us happy. What if you occupy a seat in a flight that has absolutely no passengers? And you can roam around anywhere you want. Wouldn’t it be the day ever?
Laura Stevens and her friends Sarah and Laurie had Christmas day celebrations prior to 25th when they learned that they were the only passengers on the flight.
The British Airways flight from Gibraltar to London had only three ladies as their passengers. These ladies had the time of their lives. They could access anywhere they wanted to, even from economy to business class.
The ladies booked their tickets on the 5:20 pm flight, which got delayed by three hours. They arrived late in order to avoid the airport waiting. And what they found out was that the other passengers had left on the earlier flight and these ladies were the only passengers on a 150 seater plane.
Laura Stevens, who is a TV producer described her lifetime experience on Twitter that largely went viral on the internet. She and her friends were also very thankful the British Airways for their generous services.
Airlines do not usually allow people to get into the plane cockpit but since they were really lucky, they got the chance.
It only costed them £80 to occupy a whole plane by themselves.
They were also allowed access to the executive lounge. The staff even opened shops for them to buy Christmas gifts for their families. Laura was very humbled by their gesture. She said-
“We felt like celebrities, especially when we were given champagne – it was the best Christmas present ever, we couldn’t believe how kind and lovely everyone was.”
British Airways has definitely given a lifetime memory to Laura and her friends.
