Some Interesting Facts About Ajith Kumar

Ajith, who has participated in various bikes and car races including Formula 2 race, is an extraordinary racer. Throughout his career, he has participated in many racing championships, like the Formula BMW Asia Championship (2003), Formula Maruti Indian Championships (2002), Formula 2 Championship (2010) and FIA Formula Two Championship (2010).
Apart from racing and acting, Thala is also into aero-modelling and pursues this passion irrespective of it being costly. He also holds a pilot license.
Before acting, Thala has also worked as a salesman for a garment export company.
He was the brand ambassador of Nescafe (Tamil Nadu) in 2004.
To promote self-hygiene civic consciousness and also to help reduce the problems of urban sprawl, he founded the non-profit organization Mohini-Mani Foundation.

Controversies

Ajith was forced by director Bala to back out of one project during Naan Kadavul filming as he was beaten and abused with bad words and was also asked to return the advance amount given to him.
Ajith once apologized to the DMK leader Karunanidhi during politician Karunanidhi welfare function, as he spoke carelessly about ruling political party DMK to a degree which further led to various other controversies.
