A superhydrophobic & oleophobic coating, the Ultra-Ever Dry uses proprietary nanotechnology & resists most water-based and some oil-based liquids.
Do you know that you could prevent water & oil-based liquids from staying on a surface by applying a coating? Yes! The Ultra-Ever Dry coating is superhydrophobic (water) and oleophobic (hydrocarbons). It helps in fully resisting almost any liquid (most water-based & some oil-based).
Its proprietary nanotechnology allows you to easily coat an object and create an air barrier on its surface. Different from other coatings, this barrier helps repel water, oil & other liquids. When applied to electric motors, their life increases as the coating blocks the moisture build-up on the windings, coat nuts, and bolts.
Ultra-Ever Dry doesn’t dry clear! It cannot be used on automobile windshields and obscures visibility through the glass. It has greater adhesion & abrasion resistance when compared to past superhydrophobic technologies, making it a good choice for products needing high durability.
Here are some of the applications and the ways that Ultra-Ever Dry can be used:
Let’s look at some of the top properties of Ultra-Ever Dry coating here:
Water and other liquids containing bacteria or radiation do not affect the surface of the coated material. So bacteria and radiation are considerably lowered or eliminated, decontaminating the surface easily. Low-pressure water gets rid of dust and dirt.
Its superhydrophobic coating allows the objects to stay dry. It easily repels water and many other liquids.
The superhydrophobic properties help in keeping the coated materials fully dry. It reduces the formation of ice or frost, allowing easy removal of ice.
The Ultra-Ever Dry coating comes with enhanced corrosion protection as the superhydrophobic coating helps in repelling water, saltwater, and aqueous acids & bases.
The coating acts as a repelling agent for dirty water and certain oils, keeping it clean and free of bacteria.
Several products do not last for long, and moisture, oil, and water accumulate after continuous use. This coating could help in improving the life of electric motors by blocking the build-up of moisture to prevent corrosion, coat tools, equipment, and any other item that should be dry, corrosion-free, de-iced, uncontaminated, or clean.
Other key properties or features of Ultra-Ever Dry include preventing buildup, protection from acids/bases, preventing corrosion, and waterproofing.
The longevity of the coating depends on the environmental conditions (UV/abrasion). It usually lasts 2-8 months in direct sunlight and external conditions before it requires recoating of the topcoat.
The limitation of Ultra-Ever Dry is that it couldn’t be used on automobile windshields and blurs visibility via the glass. Also, this product is currently not available for costumers and is only for industrial use.
