Some Interesting Facts About Yogi Adityanath
Yogi Adityanath’s birth name is Ajay Mohan Bisht, but he changed his name after his indoctrination into the Nath sect and adopting priesthood.
He is also the head priest of the Gorakhnath Math, a Hindu Temple in Gorakhpur.
He is also the founder of Hindu Yuva Vahini, a youth organization that is involved in communal violence. They aimed to declare cow as Rashtra Mata. They even started a missed-call subscription initiative in Aligarh to gather support for the cause.
While studying BSc, Yogi decided to fight the students Union elections. He independently stood for the election but lost it.
He was never on good terms with the BJP. He did not agree with the party's stance on women's reservation bill in 2010.
