Banned terrorist organization, Jaish-e-Mohammed has been claimed to be responsible for the attack in J&K Pulwama district.
14th February 2019 was doomsday for Jammu and Kashmir. A convoy of vehicles on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was brutally attacked by the terrorist group in Awantipora, Pulwama district, resulting in the death of over 44 jawans. The powerful explosion was heard many kilometers away and in some parts adjoining Pulwama district.
According to the reports, the attack was made by the Pakistan-based Islamist militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed. The CRPF personnel were returning from their homes, and unfortunately, this accident happened. Pulwama attack is declared as the deadliest attack to hit the region in decades.
Jaish-e-Mohammed is a Deobandi jihadist group active in Kashmir. It has carried out several attacks in the states of Jammu and Kashmir and has also maintained close relations with Afghanistan. Jaish-e-Mohammed is considered as the principal terrorist organization in Jammu and Kashmir.
Recently, the group was blamed for attacking an Indian air force near the border in Punjab state. Jaish-e-Mohammad has been blamed for attacking India in the past, including the 2001 attack on parliament in Delhi. Mohammad Azhar is reportedly based in the Bahawalpur area in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The country has demanded his extradition from Pakistan, but Islamad has rejected the advice and demanded more proofs.
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi after meeting with senior ministers said –
“The terrorists...they have made a big mistake. You will have to pay a very heavy price...I assure everyone that the forces behind the attack...we will bring them to justice.”
He further added-
“India is together... India is united. Our unity will play a great factor in defeating our enemy. Our neighbouring country feels that such dastardly acts will demoralize India, but India will emerge stronger.”

The United Nations strongly condemned for the attack and released a statement saying –
“We strongly condemn today's attack in J&K Pulwama. We express our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to the people and Government of India. We wish a speedy recovery to injured and call for those behind the attack to be brought to justice."
Even the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan in a press release said –
“Attack in Pulwama in the Indian Occupied Kashmir is a matter of grave concern. We have always condemned acts of violence anywhere in the world. We strongly reject any insinuation by elements in the Indian media and government that seek to link the attack to Pakistan without investigations."
According to the news, the bomber is Adil Dar, a student who left home in 2018. Soon after the attack, the group released a video which was then shown on several channels. In the video, a young man identified as Adil Dar spoke about atrocities against Kashmiri Muslims. He said he joined the group in 2018 and was given the task to attack in Pulawa. He was given the name Waqas by a terrorist group. His village is only 10kms from the place where his car with explosives rammed into a bus.
India has called for global sanctions against Jaish-e-Mohammed, and the country wants its leader Masood Azhar to be listed as a terrorist by the UN Security Council. After the attack, PM of India Mr. Modi said in a speech that those behind the Pulawa attack would have to pay a heavy price. He said that sacrifices would not go in vain and we will bring them to justice.

About two years ago, India carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan in response to the attack which took place in Uri, in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan, as usual, didn’t admit that it was carried out by them. However, the surgical strike took revenge of the souls died in the attack.
The time has come again to plan for a surgical strike and to show Pakistan that India is ready for a war.
What do you think- how India will take revenge from Masood Azhar? Indian PM Narendra Modi has given permission and full freedom to security forces to do what they want to give a befitting reply to Pakistan.
