7 Deadly Shark Attacks That Will Terrify You

Shark attacks are the real reason people develop irrational fears of the sea and they are not to blame, because these shark attacks; provoked or unprovoked, are so fiercely violent that even the mightiest of the hearts would think twice before stepping in the ocean.

 Here are some recent Shark Attacks that could fuel the fire of Thalassophobia in a person.

1. A 12 Foot Tiger Shark Seriously Injured A Tourist in Hawaii

A vicious Shark attack left a 28 years old french man in a critical condition on Kekaha Beach in Kauai county. Other surfers tied a tourniquette around his leg to slow the bleeding, they also claimed that it was a 12 foot tiger shark that attacked him.

2. Girl Punches A Shark In The Nose to Save Her Life

Caitlyn Taylor, A 17-year old tourist from Louisville Kentucky suffered six puncture wounds from a shark bite in the Gulf of Mexico, but was able to punch the shark in the nose as it was biting her to try to drive it away. 

 Witnesses say a five-foot shark bit the teen while she was in waist-deep water.

3. Australian Ocean Lover Killed In A Shark Attack

A teenage girl who died after being attacked by a shark was surfing with her dad who did "everything he could" to save her. Laeticia Brouwer, 17, was in the water with her dad Leon near Esperance in the state of Western Australia during the attack.

“We can take comfort that [Laeticia] died doing something that she loved,” Mr Evans said.

4. Blood Bath Of Multiple Casualties

Three men were bitten by sharks at Ponce Inlet, between Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach. Jason Valentine, 20, underwent surgery for a hand injury and Jeff White, 20, and Dylan Feindt, 19, were treated for cuts on their feet in area hospitals.

5. Shark Bit An Eight Year Old’s Arm Off

In July 2016, a Mississippi boy's arm was bitten off by a shark at Pensacola Beach in northwest Florida. Doctors were able to reattach the arm, the boy was dispatched after recovering from a light coma. 

6. 60-Year-old grandmother killed in a shark attack

Doreen Collyer, 60, died while diving a kilometre out from Mindarie Marina between One and Three Mile reefs. She was killed by a massive great white shark off the coast of perth.

The huge shark is thought to have been bigger than their 5.3m boat.

7. Pornstar Who Dived Among Sharks In A Cage To Go Viral

Molly Cavalli was filmed jumping into a cage in just a skimpy swimsuit as a number of lemon sharks were apparently nearby.In the clip posted online, within seconds one shark attacked - leaving her with a nasty bite on her ankle.

 Some viewers were a little skeptical of the picture Molly later posted on social media of her injuries.

 Mr.Bryce Rohrer, owner, and operator of Florida Shark Diving claims Ms.Cavalli explained that the company wanted to film a fake shark attack in the hope that the clip would go viral.
